ENCATC and the Académie de Bretagne et des Pays de la Loire join forces to strengthen Regional cultural collaboration

ENCATC, the leading European network on cultural management and policy, has announced a formal partnership with the Académie de Bretagne et des Pays de la Loire. At its meeting on 29 October 2024, the ENCATC Board approved both an ENCATC label and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in recognition of the Académie’s dedication to fostering and enhancing regional-European cultural collaboration.

This decision underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to promote the richness of cultural, literary, and heritage traditions through synergies between regional and European cultural stakeholders. The collaboration, highlighted by ENCATC’s recent magazine, Résonances, showcases the local heritage and cultural contributions of the Pays de la Loire region, featuring notable works from Académie members, including Claire Giraud-Labalte, Alain Mabanckou, Patrick Barbier, and Henri Copin.

This new partnership serves as a testimony of ENCATC’s commitment to actively respond to its members’ requests of strengthening the network’s presence at regional level. Moving forward, this partnership will strengthen ENCATC’s presence in regional publications. Thus, ENCATC grants its label to the Cahier de l'Académie, which inaugurates a section dedicated to Europe in its 2025 edition on the theme 'The Spirit of Revolt' and focuses on the territory of the Loire estuary.

This strategic alliance marks an exciting new milestone for ENCATC, reinforcing its longstanding commitment to cultural diplomacy and cooperation. It promises to facilitate enriched exchanges and foster mutual support in the promotion of cultural initiatives.
