Episode 2 | Keynote

Episode 2 | Keynote

This podcast involves Salvatore Rizzello, Full Professor of Economics and Director of the Scuola Superiore ISUFI at the University del Salento (Italy), and his Keynote speech, titled "Embedding sustainability in culture: Bias, nudge, and the awareness of human and organizational ecological behavior". The intervention focuses on the idea that we see culture as the knowledge we gain through our experiences, shaped by our society's social, political, and economic frameworks, artistic expressions, and spiritual or religious practices at any particular time. From the analysis of the psycho-neurological creative process of construction of personal knowledge and how institutions influence it, it emerges that bias and nudge influences can shape our morals, spiritual and aesthetical personality, ultimately affecting how we see ourselves and our surroundings. Salvatore Rizzello's keynote guides the audience through this analysis to better understand how sustainability influences both individual choices and organisational decisions, and how policies can support ecological behaviour.
