ENCATC campaign mobilises Horizon projects to turn evidence into influence

Research on culture matters. Now is the time to not only claim it, but prove it.

Across Europe, cultural organisations, researchers and universities are generating knowledge that can help address societal challenges, inform policymaking and shape a stronger future for Europe. Yet the value and impact of this research need to be made more visible in the European policy debate.

To this end, ENCATC is gathering valuable research, evidence and policy recommendations from Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects in the field of culture. The aim is to highlight what European investment in cultural research makes possible and demonstrate why research on culture is not a luxury, but the foundation for smarter, more resilient European policies.

Through this initiative, ENCATC is inviting organisations involved in completed or ongoing Horizon projects related to culture to share their project stories, key findings and policy recommendations. The network is particularly interested in research that has generated evidence with relevance for cultural policy and demonstrates the European added value of collaborative research.

Selected project stories and recommendations will be brought together in an ENCATC advocacy booklet and shared with policymakers in Brussels, helping to demonstrate the contribution of cultural research and the importance of continued investment in this field. This way, ENCATC aims to turn research into evidence, and evidence into influence.
