New capacity building podcasts from the Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture project
In the format of podcasts, ENCATC now shares new teaching material through its involvement in the Capacity building for European Capitals of Culture project (2019-2022).
These podcasts are perfect to use in the classroom with exciting insights, best practice and know-how from experts from different fields on topics relevant for the design and the implementation of European Capitals of Culture.
The Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture project supports capacity building and peer-learning activities for European Capitals of Culture (#ECoCs). Initiated by the European Commission, the project is running for 30 months, from October 2019 until March 2022.
The project has recently launched a podcast series, in which we share insights, best practices and know-how from experts from different fields, on topics relevant for the design and implementation of European Capitals of Culture. The first season explores the topic of Audience Development, also covered by the first Academy Camp, featuring five experts in five episodes:
- Sylvain Pasqua, Team Leader of Capitals of Culture at the European Commission on background and development of this initiative throughout the years
- Cristina Da Milano on the principles of audience development
- Alessandra Gariboldi discusses managing change
- Niels Righolt to explore iterative planning and implementation
- Jonathan Goodacre discussing cooperation and partnerships
The second season of podcasts will be dedicated to the ‘Digital approaches to ECOCs’, looking at the ways digitalisation is revolutionising ECOCs. The season delves into new forms of communications, evaluation, artistic programming, project management and building communities, to see how they can best be used. We will be publishing the second season after the completion of the second Academy Camp which takes place from May to July 2021.
