Culture and Education as a Key Tool for a World in Crisis
This publication stems from a collaborative initiative led by ENCATC in response to UNESCO’s call for Federated Side Events at MONDIACULT 2025, bringing together international partners working at the intersection of culture and education. It reflects a shared commitment to exploring how these fields can jointly address global challenges such as social fragmentation, environmental crises, and the erosion of democratic values. Through dialogue, case studies, and cross-regional cooperation, the publication highlights the transformative power of cultural education in fostering resilience, creativity, and intercultural understanding. It also reinforces the need to move beyond access to active participation, empowering individuals and communities through critical thinking and cultural engagement. Ultimately, it serves as both a record of collaboration and a call to place culture and education at the heart of sustainable and inclusive societal development.
