MONDIACULT Side Event: Culture and Education as a Key Tool for a World in Crisis

Barcelona, Spain

In the frame of the 2025 MONDIACULT Conference, ENCATC will co-organize one of the side events, the parallel sessions organised alongside the main plenary and thematic ones.

This co-designed side event will explore how culture and education can jointly empower communities to respond to the multiple crises shaping our world today—from environmental emergencies to social fragmentation—while upholding cultural rights and heritage. Through a dynamic, time-disciplined conversation, leading organizations will share concrete initiatives and reflect on how transformative education and cultural policy can inspire sustainable, inclusive futures. The event aims to showcase innovative models, stimulate cross-regional collaboration, and identify actionable pathways to strengthen cultural resilience and civic engagement.

The event is co-organized by ENCATC, the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Knowledge of the Republic of Colombia, the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service, the San Millán de la Cogolla Foundation (Spain), and the Consortium of universities of Sevilla (Spain), University of Zacatecas (Mexico), La Laguna (Tenerife), Bogotá (Colombia), and Cuenca (Ecuador).
