“All’Ombra della Luna” at the Galerie Lin Deletaille
Brussels, BelgiumFor our December ENCATC Cultural Happy Hour, the ENCATC community will take part to an enchanting evening where mythology, music, and art come together under the soft glow of the moon. This special event will take place in the prestigious Galerie Lin Deletaille, one of Brussels’ most iconic spaces dedicated to world cultures and contemporary artistic expression.
"All’Ombra della Luna" is a mythological and musical fable inspired by the nocturnal love story between the shepherd Endymion and Selene, the ancient goddess of the Moon. This baroque reverie—both narrated and sung—creates a dialogue between works by the Neapolitan composer Leonardo Leo (1694–1744) and the renowned Venetian master Antonio Vivaldi (1678–1741).
The performance will be brought to life by Dominique Corbiau, countertenor, narrator, and artistic director, accompanied by La Camerata Sferica.
After the concert, participants will join our popular Cultural Happy Hour, for a networking moment accompanied by drinks followed by a special guided discovery of the Galerie Lin Deletaille. Founded in 1964 by Emile Deletaille, the gallery has distinguished itself through its expertise in non-European art from African, Indonesian, Pre-Columbian, and Oceanic cultures, collaborating with major museums, institutions, and collectors worldwide.
