What does it mean to manage culture in a world with no monocultures?
This online event of the Working Group on Culture and Education explored the challenge of preparing future arts and cultural managers to navigate cultural environments shaped by overlapping identities, subcultures, religions, languages, and post-colonial influences—many of which cross national borders. Participants noted that cultures are fluid and continually shifting, especially in diverse and rapidly changing cities, making traditional geographic boundaries poor indicators of cultural reality.
