Weaving Creativity: A Cultural Journey with Belgium Creative of the Year

Brussels, Belgium

This upcoming Cultural Happy Hour will be dedicated to fashion, creativity, and Brussels’ cultural heritage. This unique event offers our community an exceptional moment to delve into the inspiring journey of one of the city’s most emblematic fashion figures, while also discovering a landmark museum at the heart of Brussels’ cultural landscape.

To open the afternoon, Caroline Esgain, Conservatrice-responsable of the Musée Mode & Dentelle, will introduce participants to this iconic institution and its mission. We are then honoured to welcome Sonia Noel, Belgium Awards “Créatrice of the Year” and founder of the emblematic boutique Stijl. Through an engaging talk, she will share her personal story, the creation and evolution of Stijl, and the pivotal role her work has played in shaping and energising Brussels’ fashion scene. Her testimony will offer valuable insight into the development of independent design and the creative spirit that has contributed to Brussels’ reputation as a vibrant fashion hub.

The encounter will also offer participants the opportunity to explore the museum’s remarkable collections with a guided tour by Yelena Kharitonova, and immerse themselves in the richness of Brussels’ textile and fashion heritage. As this is our final Cultural Happy Hour of the year, the afternoon will conclude with a festive CHH Christmas Celebration in a surprise location revealed on the day—an ideal moment to reconnect, exchange, and celebrate the season together.
