Rethinking Comparative Models in Cultural Policy
OnlineThis Members Talk, developed in partnership with Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE), aims to offer a space for an interactive discussion on comparative perspectives on cultural policy from Germany, United States, and beyond.
The discussion will address how comparative cultural policy developed, the influences of globalization and policy entrepreneurship on contemporary cultural policy, and ways of recognizing and analyzing new and changing cultural policies. We will consider how research can influence policy-making and reflect on policy development and its implications for the future of arts and culture globally. The presentation and discussion will be based on Rosenstein's recent book, Understanding Cultural Policy (Routledge, 2024).
All attendees will be eligible for a 20% discount provided by the publisher.
