Anna Villarroya is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and coordinator of the Interuniversity Doctoral Programme in Gender Studies: Culture, Society and Policy. Her main research interests include: cultural policies, women and culture, and cultural participation. She is president of the European Association of Cultural Researchers and, since 2006, the author of the Compendium profile for Spain.

She is also Editor-in-Chief of the ENCATC Journal of Cultural Management and Policy (EJCMP).
