MONDIACULT: Unleashing the power of culture to achieve sustainable development

The 2025 MONDIACULT event gathered global leaders, researchers, and practitioners to set the future agenda for culture. But what did this mean for the cultural sector? To help our community navigate the key themes and focus areas of MONDIACULT 2025, some month before the event we invited all members to a special Talk that introduced the major cultural policy challenges at stake. We explored how academics, researchers, and practitioners can play an active role in shaping the discussion at the main global conference on cultural policy. This was more than an information session—it was a chance to connect, exchange ideas, and prepare to make an impact in global cultural policy.
