On Wednesday, May 24th, 2023, you are invited to discover the work of the Korean Cultural Center of Brussels with ENCATC, in the frame of its new Cultural Happy Hour. During the visit, participants will have an opportunity to discover the activities of the center, and learn about the state of the art of EU-Korean cooperation and future perspectives. They will also have a chance to discover the exhibition "Liquid Imagination", showcasing the works of five contemporary Korean artists and their various styles, some of which are grounded in Korean painting traditions, while others experiment with book art and illustration techniques.
The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) to Belgium & European Union is an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Cultures, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea. It serves as a communication bridge to promote Korean culture overseas, to shed light on international cultural exchanges. The KCC aims at promoting its culture and language to Belgium, Luxembourg and to E.U. Since its opening on 26th November 2013, the KCC organizes various exhibitions, film screenings, classical & contemporary music concerts & performing arts, cultural workshops, masterclasses, conferences, cooking classes, language courses and festivals throughout the whole year. The KCC is located in the heart of Brussels which is the heart of Europe, near Grand Sablon and next to the Royal Museums, Royal Conservatories and the Fine art center of BOZAR.
Organised by ENCATC in partnership with the Creative Europe Desks Vlaanderen in the framework of the very successful Cultural Happy Hours initiative, this gathering will be an opportunity to delve into the complexity and beauty of Korean culture, while exploring one of the most vibrant cultural centers in Brussels with colleagues from Belgium and beyond.
