Marie graduated from the Department of Conservation, University of Gothenburg. She has a long experience of working with cultural heritage, as consultant, manager and officer. Her professional career had engaged her in how to preserve, restore and develop historic built environment and landscapes, heritage planning and coordinating exhibitions and publications. She has a strong interest in engaging the civil society and networking. Marie recently took a master’s degree in Conservation, investigating the built heritage in west Sweden connected to returning emigrants between 1880 and 1930. Marie now works at the Cultural Administration in Region Västra Götaland where she is responsible for coordinating the work at the department and for various projects related to lifelong learning in different forms.
