Lars Kröger

Project manager for the museums harbour of the German Maritime Museum

Since 2019, Lars Kröger has been project manager for the museums harbour of the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven, Germany. He studied medieval and post-medieval archaeology, medieval history, construction research, heritage management and prehistory at the University of Bamberg, Germany, and in 2017 he obtained a PhD with a thesis on “Ferries at the rivers Main and Neckar – An archaeological and historical-geographical development analysis of mediaeval and post-mediaeval transport infrastructure”. His research until 2019 focused on maritime archaeology, especially inland navigation.
