Astrid Hannes is Policy and Project manager at ERRIN, the European Regions Research and Innovation Network, with Bioeconomy and Circular Economy as main areas of work. ERRIN is a well-known Brussels-based network that gathers around 120 regional organisations from over 20 European countries. Established in 2001, ERRIN supports members to enhance their regional and local research and innovation capacities and further develop their R&I ecosystems. Astrid is strongly committed to stakeholder engagement in Research & Innovation. She operates as the Community Manager of the European Commissions’ Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI). Furthermore, Astrid has over 20 years of experience in regional development,  European cross-border cooperation and in R&I policy making at university level.
