Ethics, Sustainability and Creativity in the Practice of Three Artists

Brussels, Belgium

The Art Talks bring together international artists and cultural and creative professionals—especially from the art market—for dynamic, in-person discussions on current trends and challenges in the cultural and creative sectors. Often held alongside major art fairs or as part of the ENCATC Culture Happy Hours, these gatherings foster meaningful exchange, fresh perspectives, and valuable connections. Each session concludes with networking moments, creating a vibrant space for dialogue, collaboration, and community building across the global cultural landscape.

Held in the frame of the 2026 Art Brussels Fair, this ENCATC Art Talk Ethics, Sustainability and Creativity in the Practice of Three Artists explored how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations shape artistic practice and the broader art market. Bringing together three contemporary artists working with leading Belgian galleries, the session reflected on how ethical and sustainable approaches influence creative processes, production methods, and professional positioning today. Following the talk, participants were invited to join a Cultural Happy Hour, an informal networking moment designed to continue the conversation. This gathering offered an opportunity to exchange perspectives on current issues in the cultural sector while connecting with artists, curators, collectors, and other art world professionals present at Art Brussels 2026.
