Jordi Baltà Portolés works as a freelance consultant, researcher and trainer in cultural policy, sustainability and international cultural relations. His areas of interest include cultural diversity, local cultural policy, cultural rights, and the relationship between culture and sustainability. He is a member of the UNESCO Expert Facility for the implementation of the 2005 Convention, an advisor on culture and sustainable cities at the Committee on Culture of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), and regularly works with other organisations, including Trànsit Projectes and On the Move. Jordi holds a PhD from the universities of Girona and Melbourne, and teaches regularly at several universities.
