UNESCO CHAIR IN CULTURAL POLICIES FOR THE ARTS AND TRANSFORMATION Julius Heinicke is Professor and Holder of the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policies for the Arts and Transformation at the University of Hildesheim and honorary professor at the University of Toronto, Canada and the University of the Arts Belgrade, Serbia. Currently, he leads Workpackages in the EU Horizion Research Projects IN SITU, D@rts and Intracomp. From 2017-2020, he was Professor in  "Cultural Studies" at Coburg University and directed the Science and Culture Centre. After studying cultural and performance studies, he completed his PhD at the Humboldt University in Berlin on theatre, art and politics in Zimbabwe
