Ivana Otašević is an Assistant Director and Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. She holds a doctorate in international law and is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Laval University. Since 2009 she has been interested in the relationship between the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005) and trade agreements, the cultural dimension of sustainable development and the legal status of the concept of cultural diversity in international law. In recent years, her research and publications focus more specifically on cultural rights of migrants and minority groups as well as the protection and promotion of their cultural expressions.
