Connecting Cultures in the Digital World

As a flagship event organised each year in the framework of the ENCATC Congress, the Global Conversation series, in partnership with the Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE), invites diverse and critical perspectives on themes pertaining to the cultural and creative industries, from academics, practitioners and experts around the world. 

The 2024 Global Conversation explored the transformative power of digital platforms in bridging cultural gaps and fostering global artistic collaboration. Topics included how digital technology brings visual and performance arts from diverse regions to our doorsteps, how live events can be experienced through AR/VR, and how artists collaborate across borders. The session also examined the digital aspect of sustainability in cultural exchange with examples of successful partnerships between artists, academia and cultural institutions.
