Held in the frame of the International Study Tour to Seoul, this talk explored shifting trends in European art markets, including digital growth and changing regulatory landscapes. Speakers examined the rise of AI-generated art in Korea and its cultural, legal, and policy implications. Discussions addressed authorship, creative responsibility, and institutional adaptation in an AI-driven environment, focusing on the investment opportunities emerging from digital art. NFTs and STOs were presented as emerging tools reshaping ownership, liquidity, and market access, but the challenges in transparency, valuation, and investor protection within art-tech ecosystems were also underlined. The event disclosed the Korean potential as a leading hub for integrating technology with cultural production, with a new emphasis on hybrid, machine-assisted creativity and shifting artistic identities.
