On 30 January 2026, the ENCATC Art Talk at the BRAFA Art Fair in Brussels examined art and antiques dealing as a profession and the challenges it faces today. In a panel discussion, Virginie Devillez, Nathalie Moureau and Anne-Sophie Radermecker discussed how dealers are adapting to a profession that dates back at least to the early modern period, as market competition, online sales and changing tastes and lifestyles push them to rethink their work, update their practices and revise long-standing business strategies. The speakers looked at how dealers are responding and at the role they still play in today's cultural ecosystem, addressing market dynamics, professional identity and the creation of cultural value. An audience Q&A followed, and the afternoon continued with a Cultural Happy Hour.
