Pascale Bédard is a professor of sociology of arts and culture at Laval University. Her research and teaching activities are part of a broader reflection on the social significance of culture today: cultural practices, meanings and values attributed to the cultural dimensions of social life, its spatiality in the city, and the transformation of the figure of the artist in advanced capitalism.
