Emanuela De Menna is Policy Officer on Cultural Heritage at the European Commission, DG Research & Innovation (DG RTD). In charge of various files related to cultural heritage R&I policy agenda in the Directorate 'Climate Action and Resource Efficiency', including R&I contribution to the European Year for Cultural Heritage 2018, Horizon 2020 programming and the promotion of coordinated EU and national research agendas on cultural heritage. Architect by training and with a Ph.D. in Economics, for more than 10 years collaborated with University research centres in Europe and Latin America and was consultant for local and regional governments in Europe, Latin America and West Bank. Areas of expertise include: the regeneration of city centres and cultural landscapes, cultural heritage at risk, international cooperation and cultural diplomacy, sustainable urban development and strategic urban planning.
