Tom Kestens is a Belgian musician, singer-songwriter and cultural policy advisor whose career bridges artistic practice and public policy. Known for his work with Das Pop and Lalalover, he has combined his musical career with a commitment to cultural advocacy and public service. He has served as a municipal councillor in Mechelen and worked in ministerial cabinets, contributing to policy discussions on artists’ working conditions, social protection and the cultural sector. As Adviseur Cultuur, he brings first-hand experience of the arts together with an understanding of the policy frameworks shaping cultural life in Belgium.
