2023 ENCATC Education and Research Session

The Education and Research Session (E&RS) annual gathering is the only global space to present and share the latest world-class research in the field of cultural policy and management. 

In the last 10 years, hundreds of researchers and educators from around the world have benefited to use this international platform to present their work and gain feedback from peers. Many have gone on to publish their research in ENCATC’s scientific publication, the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy.

The deadline for submissions is now closed. 

Papers presented at the Education and Research Session may be considered for publication in the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy, now published in full Open Access (OA) by leading publisher Frontiers. Authors and presenters of the Research Session will be invited to submit their work to the ENCATC Journal after the Congress.

A special issue of the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy, edited by Dr. Oonagh Murphy and Dr. Michael Franklin, from Goldsmiths, University of London, will be edited after the Congress, providing presenters with an opportunity to be published in this leading Open Access (OA) journal. It will be entitled "Artificial Intelligence: Cultural Policy, Management, Education, and Research" and it will be based on the general track of the E&RS with the same name.

In addition, the Best Research Paper presented in the E&RS will be selected for publication in the ENCATC Journal - provided that it successfully goes through the peer review process - and the author(s) will benefit from a 100% waiver in Article Processing Charges (APCs).

The E&RS is part of the 2023 ENCATC Congress, which will take place as a hybrid event in Helsinki on 11-13 October 2023.
