Douglas DeNatale is an Associate Professor of the Practice and Director of the Graduate Program in Arts Administration at Boston University.  He previously served as Director of Research for the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA), where he played an instrumental role in developing the earliest work on the Creative Economy in the U.S. DeNatale has directed research projects for the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Boston Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the Library of Congress. He holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, an MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA from Wesleyan University. DeNatale serves as a member of the board of directors and Treasurer for ENCATC, the European Network for Cultural Management and Policy.
