Dr Ana Žuvela is a Research Associate at the Department of Culture and Communications, Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), Zagreb. Her work focuses on socially and environmentally responsible cultural policies, democratisation of cultural policy, power devolution within cultural systems, and progressive models of cultural governance. She links academic research with applied policy analysis in the fields of cultural policy, planning, and governance, with particular attention to broader social and political transformations. Dr Žuvela has participated in numerous research projects and policy collaborations with supranational organisations, including the European Parliament, the United Nations, and UNESCO, as well as national and local institutions such as the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and the Kultura nova Foundation. She serves as Vice-President of the ENCATC Board and is a member of the Advisory Board of the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy and the Governing Board of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra
