Join ENCATC as a EU Communications Officer

At ENCATC, we are entering an exciting new chapter. ABOUT THIS POSITION 

The EU Communication Officer will support the implementation and management of ENCATC’s internal and external communication activities, with a strong focus on European projects.

A key responsibility will be to design and implement communication actions under EU-funded initiatives, ensuring compliance with EU guidelines and enhancing their visibility and impact.

The role also contributes to ENCATC’s broader international communication strategy, supporting the promotion and dissemination of ENCATC’s activities, projects, and events at the European and global level.

The EU Communication Officer will not only help shape communication campaigns for EU projects but will also play a vital role in amplifying ENCATC’s initiatives across its global network of members, partners, and stakeholders.

Experience in similar roles within EU-funded projects, particularly in the fields of cultural management, education, research, or policy, is mandatory.

The EU Communication Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Secretary-General and in close collaboration with project coordinators, project managers, and ENCATC’s wider team, ensuring that communication supports the organization’s mission and international growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO EU-FUNDED PROJECTS AND ENCATC INITIATIVES

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of ENCATC’s communication activities within the framework of EU-funded projects.
  • Support the creation and drafting of blog posts, articles, newsletters, communication materials, and social media content highlighting ENCATC’s EU projects as well as its broader international initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of EU project proposals, in particular work packages related to communication, dissemination, and sustainability.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of ENCATC’s communication strategy, ensuring consistency of ENCATC’s identity across all communication channels, and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement when required.
  • Support the continuous development and updating of ENCATC’s digital media channels (website, social media, Knowledge Hub, blogs), ensuring accessibility and visibility of ENCATC’s projects and activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of ENCATC’s communication and awareness-raising campaigns, including the organisation of international conferences, workshops, and other events in line with EU-funded project guidelines. This includes drafting and implementing project-specific communication plans, and producing dissemination materials such as leaflets, presentations, guides, and newsletters.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of ENCATC’s digital presence using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), preparing reports on communication metrics, and suggesting improvements to increase impact.
  • Support coordination and reporting of communication activities with ENCATC’s members, partners, and stakeholders across Europe and beyond.
  • Assist in maintaining strong relations with participants and stakeholders of ENCATC’s EU-funded and international initiatives through online platforms (email, social networks, online feedback forms, etc.).


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Technical experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a position with duties and responsibilities like those described in the job description section. (Mandatory).
  • A Degree in Communications, Media, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. (Mandatory).
  • Experience in managing social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook), building engagement, analyzing data, reporting metrics, and monitoring digital strategies.
  • Experience with, and ability to learn, digital analysis tools (e.g., Ads, Analytics, Metricool, Hubspot, or similar).
  • Experience in digital communication, marketing campaigns, corporate communication, marketing trends, and campaign design.
  • Knowledge of mass emailing tools such as Mailchimp and a willingness to learn other tools (e.g., HTML, CSS, or similar platforms).
  • Knowledge and skills in strategic brand development.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to learn, digital communication tools such as Adobe CC, Drupal, and Canva.


Languages:

  • High level of English, C1 or equivalent, with excellent oral, writing, and narrative skills. (Mandatory). Knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, and Spanish (Desirable).

  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Fridays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Salary: Salary will be discussed during the interview and will be based on the candidate’s experience.

Location of the position: The candidate will work in the ENCATC headquarters in Brussels. For this position, we do not offer the possibility to work remotely.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process will have 5 phases:


1. Admission to the selection procedure

2. Assessment of applications

If your profile is of interest for the job position, you will receive an invitation for a first interview starting after the 26th of September 2025. You will not be contacted if your application is not considered for the next phase.

The selection process will be an ongoing process and will be closed the 18/10.


3. First Round of Interviews

A first interview will take place online, during which questions related to your previous experiences will be asked. All interviews will take place at an agreed time and date.


4. Second Round of Interviews

If your profile is of interest for the job position, a second interview will take place with more specific and oriented questions. A small practical activity might take place.

All interviews will take place at an agreed time and date. The second interview will be done in person.


5. Final decision

A final decision will be made based on the interviews and the feedback obtained. A pre-commitment contract will be signed between ENCATC’s legal representative and the candidate on 31/10.
